How the RISA Fund grant will be used

The UGBS project seeks to encourage the application of research and innovations of research-intensive universities into industry operations of small businesses by leveraging on the already existing research knowledge and innovations of learning centres at the University of Ghana to build the capacities of small rural enterprises in Ghana.

It aims to create smoother pathways to scale up research diffusion and specific innovations into rural community enterprises’ operations, as well as to widen the scope of the number of small businesses that are likely to assimilate relevant knowledge and innovations which improves value for money.

There will be stakeholder and ecosystem engagements with Dairy Research, Improvement and Innovation Consortium (DRIInC), University of Ghana, and hub ecosystem partners such as Impact Hub Accra, Social Enterprise Ghana and Reach for Change Ghana.
