About ATU

ATU is a Technical University specialised in providing competency based practical industrial training, learning and applied research.

How the RISA Fund grant will be used

The ATU project aims to bridge the gap between research and development in the health sector, by using Design Thinking analysis to solve real-world challenges and harnessing the talents of young emerging leaders in health innovations. It seeks to take a pipeline of talented young innovators and develop them to apply design thinking to address local health challenges, as well incorporate locally tailored health solutions into healthcare delivery.

There will be stakeholder/ecosystem engagements with Design Thinking Ghana Hub (DTGH), Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital (The Blood Bank); The Ridge Hospital; and 37 Military Hospital; the Ghana Standards Authority; Foods and Drugs Authority; and external stakeholders – Council for Scientific Research & Kirk House Foundation (USA).
